Buying leather can be confusing because there are many grades to consider and some variations within each grade. BenchMaster Furniture has three options when it comes to leather:
 |
Corrected Top Grain |
 |
Semi Corrected Top Grain |
 |
Bonded |

Top Grain (Corrected) is the most commonly used leather. Its surface is polished smooth to remove imperfections before the surface coating is applied. A new grain pattern is then embossed to provide a perfectly consist surface. Corrected Grain leather is considered the most durable. All Corrected Grain leathers also have an additional protective coating applied to make the leather especially resistant to stains. Corrected grain leathers provide a great combination of durability and value. All Top Line, Style Line or Dream Line Series come in Corrected Top Grain Leather.

Top Grain (Semi-Corrected) have been lightly buffed to remove any natural blemishes in the leather, leaving the natural grain and feel of the leather. These Semi Corrected Leathers are dyed through and then have a light surface coating containing a small amount of pigment applied. This surface coating makes the leather more resistant to stains, while still retaining the natural appearance and softness of full natural grain leather. All BenchMaster Verona Line and Stress-Free Chairs come in Semi-Corrected Top Grain Leather.

Bonded Leather is
really a reconstituted leather. It's a synthetic man-made material composed of 80% to 100% leather fibers. It is made with leather fibers taken from hides and bonded together with latex binders to construct a fabric with the look and feel of a soft high-end leather at a fraction of the cost of real leather. This chair and all BenchMaster Marvella Series Chairs are upholstered in Bonded Leather.
