Its all hardwood frame is both pinned and glued with all stress points corner blocked, glued stapled and screwed for excellent construction and wear. The seat cushion utilizes High Resiliency Foam with a soft fiber wrap to give the chair a very plush feel. No Sag Spring Suspension in the back and seat contribute to the outstanding construction of this world-class chair. The Banning is an excellent investment in comfort and quality.

Buying leather or fabric can be confusing because there are many grades to consider and some variations within each grade. All of our custom seating in several grades of top grain leather or a synthetic suede-like "Microfiber".
Monarch Microfiber
Monarch Microfiber is a synthetic suede like material made of a 100% Woven Polyester top face with a 60% Polyester / 40% Cotton backing which gives it strength and durability. It also and contains a water repellant stain protection coating enabling it to repel fluids. Monarch Microfiber unites wearability with carefree endurance for a plush fabric that is ideal for the any home environment.
Top Grain Leathers
When buying fine leather furniture, it should always be TOP GRAIN. There are three types of top grain leather:

Natural Grain |
Corrected Grain (1000 series) is the most commonly used leather. Its surface is polished smooth to remove imperfections before the surface coating is applied. A new grain pattern is then embossed into the surface. Corrected Grain leather is considered the most durable, and is used on all but the most expensive furniture. Palliser's Corrected Grain leathers also have an additional protective coating applied to make the leather especially resistant to stains. If you need “kid proof” leather, Palliser’s Corrected Grains provides a great combination of durability and value.
Semi-Corrected Leathers (2000 series) have been lightly buffed to remove any natural blemishes in the leather, but leaving the natural grain and feel of the leather. These Semi Corrected Leathers are dyed through and then have a light surface coating containing a small amount of pigment applied. This surface coating makes the leather more resistant to stains and abuse, while still retaining the natural appearance and softness of full grain leather. Palliser’s Semi-Corrected Grains emulates the feel of full grain at a more affordable price.
Natural Grain (3000 - 6000 series) is uncorrected leather that is made from only the finest hides. A natural grain is the softest, most natural looking leather with the unique surface characteristics of the hide remaining visible. Of course the natural grain is always the most expensive, but if you want the very best, Palliser’s natural grain leathers are good as it gets and well worth the cost. |
